Welcome and thanks for your interest in our Fellowship in Global Emergency Medicine at University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. ​All of us at  the Department of Emergency Medicine are proud to provide excellent high-quality medical care to our local population, without conditions. Our hospital is one of the few in the area that welcome all regardless of insurance or immigration status, and it is our privilege to serve them. 
 
The Division of Global Emergency Medicine was founded in 2024 and represents an exciting development in Emergency Medicine resident and fellow training at Jackson. We collaborate with our colleagues in the Divisions of Ultrasound, Medical Education, and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, in addition to programs within the University of Miami. We welcome resident involvement, and participate in bi-directional exchanges of residents from countries throughout Latin America. We work hand in hand with our  colleagues throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, and our projects reflect the Division's core values of sustainable, equitable, and longitudinal Emergency Medicine development.
